Kirk Franklin recently discussed his decision to turn down Donald Trump's invitation to perform at his inauguration.
During an interview on the "Tom Joyner Morning Show," the Gospel recording artist said he cannot "co-sign" Trump until there is an apology and he needs to see tangible receipts of effort and change.
I think that there is a lot of healing and discussions that need to
be done within our community before I will co-sign...
respect the office...but I have to see tangible things either address or an apologized for or what is the solution and the resolve for certain things before I stand and co-sign with someone that I have not seen yet that they have the utmost trust and belief of our people.
