United Airlines Drags Screaming & Bloodied Passenger From Flight
United Airlines is going up in flames on social media after a disturbing video surfaced online late Sunday evening that shows three men dragging a screaming passenger off of a flight because it was overbooked.
The incident took place at O'Hare International Airport on a flight scheduled to depart from Chicago to Louisville.
Audra D. Bridges posted the video on her Facebook page with the caption:
Please share this video. We are on this flight. United airlines overbooked the flight. They randomly selected people to kick off so their standby crew could have a seat. This man is a doctor and has to be at the hospital
in the morning. He did not want to get off. We are all shaky and so disgusted. #unitedairways
According to the statement released by the airline, the passenger was dragged from his seat screaming and dragged off of the plane with a bloodied face because he refused to leave his seat after being randomly picked by a computer to take another flight.
Flight 3411 from Chicago to Louisville was overbooked. After our team looked for volunteers, one customer refused to leave the aircraft voluntarily and law enforcement was asked to come to the gate.
We apologize for the overbook situation. Further details on the removed customer should be directed to authorities.
