Nika Noni Rose Reveals She Was Sexually Assaulted On A Plane, Says Fbi Dropped The Case

Anika Noni Rose revealed she was sexually assaulted on a flight last year and to add insult to injury, she filed a report with the FBI and they dropped the case. Via NY Daily News: Rose revealed Thursday she was forced to have her plane turned around last year after the man seated next to her assaulted her while she was sleeping - and, so far, police have done nothing to bring her justice. "I was assaulted on a plane last year and I haven't been able to get this person's name ... I was asleep on a plane and I was assaulted by the man sitting next to me," she told SiriusXM's "Make It Plain with Mark Thompson" radio show. "There's a Freedom of Information Act you're supposed to be able to get people's names and I made a report right then with the FBI, and they dropped the case ... It's a really tough thing to deal with when something happens to you and you do everything that you're supposed
to do and somebody somewhere decides, well, we're not going to go forward with this." "The Quad" star, 45, explained she had no previous interactions with her assaulter - "There wasn't even a, 'Hi, how ya doing?'" she said - and his "sly violation" woke her up. She said the situation escalated after she informed the flight attendant the man began saying things "that were so out of the box." Though she wanted to keep the plane in the air at first, his comments eventually prompted her to request it be turned around. She says the man was removed from the plane upon landing. I was shaking. I was so upset and so hurt and angry. I wanted to punch that man," she said, choking back tears. "And I knew that that would take away from the story I had to tell, so I would hold in everything that I was feeling to be able to tell this story and be heard and taken seriously."
