NEW ORLEANS - A man and a woman were found shot to death at an apartment in Gert Town, police said. The double shooting was reported around 8 a.m. in the 8200 block of Palmetto Street. Advertisement Investigators said officers were called to perform a wellness check at the complex and found the two victims unresponsive on the floor of an apartment. Family members at the scene said the victims were 33-year-old Jacquellyn "Jackie" Williams and her boyfriend, 26-year-old Thaddeus "Hammie" Jackson. Jackson's aunt said police were called to check on the couple this morning when he did not pick up his children to take them to school and she did not show up to work at the daycare where she was a preschool teacher.
