Pastor Alisha Woodard, had just finished up her sermon during church ,when her husband, who is also a pastor, showed up to cause trouble. The couple were both pastors at a local church in Alabama, but for about two weeks now, they had been having trouble and they had separated. The husband, Ulysses Woodard arrived at the church to apparently settle things with his wife. They went off to talk and things got heated. During the heated argument, the husband took an object and the projectile hit his wife in the chest and afterwards he did the same to himself. This was witnessed by Derek Scott Gandy. Gandy,who also happens to be a pastor at the church, saw this along with his family. They were among the few people at the church that witnessed the ordeal. He said that Woodard, who happens to be his friend, had approached him that night after the church program. He expressed that he would like to speak with his wife Alisha. “When I went outside, he just said, ‘Pastor, can I talk to my wife please?’ And I said, ‘Sure, that’s your wife.’ And he never said anything to anyone. He did not

stress anyone. He did not disrespect anyone. He never raised his voice at all,” Gandy says. Gandy said that he later saw Woodard and his wife talking passionately but he realized that things started getting heated up. He approached the wife and offered to take Alisha home. He, however, left them alone because he didn’t want to get involved in what he felt was a “couples quarell.” I sat in the car to wait for her to finish talking. But then when she started screaming, hollering, let go, stop, then he had come over,” Gandy said. At that moment, Alisha was trying to get into Gandy’s car but her husband grabbed her arm. “He managed to keep her in his grasp and he managed to get to his car and that’s where he had his tool,” Gandy said. Woodard then hurt his wife in the chest. He fled the scene. Authorities arrived and pursued him. He subsequently returned to the church but as the police officers approached his vehicle, he hurt himself indefinitely. His car then collided into the church. He was pronounced gone at the scene but his wife survived. She was taken to a local hospital and she is recovering. Watch Video Below
