East Texas Toddler's Parents On The Run After 2-year-old Dies... They Didn't Even Show Up To The Baby's Funeral

Houston, Texas - A precious toddler is dead and his parents are on the run. On March 14th, Panola County sheriff's deputies were called to the UT Health East Texas emergency room after an unconscious 2-year-old boy was brought to the hospital for treatment of internal injuries and contusions on his head and face. The child was airlifted to Children's Medical Center in Dallas. The doctors placed the child on life support and informed police that his prognosis was not good. The parents told investigators their son Kaisyn had fallen off a porch on March 11 and struck his head on the concrete, injuring his face, police said. The next day, Kaisyn's parents told investigators he vomited blood at least twice and complained of stomach pains, police said. The night of March 13, the parents told police the mother, Brianna Jones went to work and left the father Braylyn Sheppard at home with Kaisyn. It was around 11:50 p.m., parents told police, that Sheppard noticed Kaisyn was lying on the couch and not moving and not responding to attempts to wake him up. It was then, the parents told police, Jones told Sheppard to call 911. Kai'Syn Ke'Mar Sheppard

died at the hospital on March 15th. Preliminary information from the hospitals and an autopsy conducted at the Southwest Institute of Forensic Science "indicate that the number and severity of the injuries, both internal and external, were not consistent with a fall from a porch," the Sheriff's Office reports. Officials also advised that the toddler may not have received adequate medical care before his parents called 911. Investigators say Sheppard and Jones agreed to be reinterviewed March 19 but failed to show up at the Sheriff's Office. Kai'Syn's funeral was held on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. His parents never showed up for the baby's funeral. Not only did the couple fail to attend the 2-year-old's funeral service, but they skipped town and went on the run. Braylyn Sheppard, 25, and Brianna Jones, 22, are wanted in connection with the death of their 2-year-old son. The were last seen traveling in a black and gray 2005 Chevrolet. Panola County sheriff's detectives are asking the public to help find the pair. It's strange that a woman will carry a baby for nine whole months, and not love it enough to at least try to protect it from harm. Watch Video Below
