Elderly Woman loses home after neighbor forged deed A 35-year-old New York woman has been arrested. She was arrested on the charges of forging a deed to take ownership of an elderly woman's house. She insists that she was given the house as a thank you gift for caring for her. Aurelia Soogea, 35, had to appear in court in Nassau
County, on Long Island. She plead not guilty. She has been accused of paying just $10 to transfer the deed of her mother's neighbor's $350k home to her name. The owner, who is 78-year-old Rosemarie Mika, claims that she was informed of the deed transfer. She received a letter from Nassau County authorities. She immediately called the authorities.
