Neighbors said that Rodgers was grilling outside of her apartment, minding her business. While cooking her food, a woman walked up to her and slapped her. This is what the neighbors claimed to have seen.who So the woman who was grilling, slapped the woman back. After the double slapping event, the two women began to fight. During the scuffle, authorities said the woman handed her daughter a bag that contained a weapon. The young girl took it upon herself to help her mother. She pulled the loaded firearm out of the pocketbook and pressed the weapon, striking the other woman. The victim was taken to the hospital. She was later pronounced deceased. The girl’s mother, was arrested and charged with manslaughter. She was also charged with others, like culpable negligence, child neglect, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and aggravated assault with a firearm. Lakrisha Isaac, 31 is

the mother of the 10 year old. She was arrested. The 10-year-old, has not been identified. She is with the state. Charges for the 10 year old has not yet been discussed. Lashun “Bones” Rodgers, who was 41, was said to be a mother and grandmother who was known in the neighborhood for her kindness and giving spirit. “Bones would give you the shoes and the shirt off her back, literally. I’ve seen her do it,” said Rodgers’ best friend, Stacey Johnson. “And she kept you laughing. Her humor … Oh my God, her spirit was awesome.” Family said that she was not the type of person to get into physical altercations and did not deserve to die in such a violent manner. “It’s just so sad that she lost her life to this senseless situation,” said Amber Dozier. The cause of the argument and fight has not yet been determined.
