Keke Palmer Says Airport Discriminated Over Her ‘mommy’ Milk

Keke Palmer, the actress and singer who recently starred in the horror film “Nope”, has spoken out about her experience with “Mommy milk discrimination” at the Houston airport. The 29-year-old mother of one took her social media to share her frustration and anger with the airport staff who allegedly threatened to throw out her “mommy milk supply. Palmer, who welcomed her son Leodis with her boyfriend Darius Jackson in February, wrote: "Mommy milk discrimination at the Houston airport ruined my mood. I should’ve popped one out right then because the discretion and comfort of pumping is thwarted with threats to throw out over 16oz my babies food?!?!!! Why is that not a crime?? I’M A MOTHER for crying out loud." According to the TSA website, milk "in quantities greater than 3.4 ounces or 100 milliliters are allowed in carry-on baggage and do not need
to fit within a quart-sized bag."However Palmer claimed that the airport staff did not follow this policy and instead harassed her for carrying more than the allowed amount of liquid. Palmer’s tweet received a lot of support from her fans and fellow mothers, who shared their own stories of facing similar challenges while traveling with milk. Some users also criticized the airport for being insensitive and ignorant about the needs of nursing mothers. Palmer announced her pregnancy in December 2022, when she hosted “Saturday Night Live” and revealed her baby bump during her monologue. She has since been vocal about her journey as a new mom, celebrating her postpartum body and thanking her baby for giving her curves. She has also described motherhood as her “greatest gig of all” and said that her son has given her “a greater purpose” in life.
