A woman has been arrested for falsely reporting that her husband had fatally injured her. This was an attempt to uncover her husband’s affair. A second woman who has not been identified, contacted the police in Utah after receiving texts from the phone of Shaun Dudley (Nielsen’s husband) claiming-that he had shot his wife Rebecca Nielson, who is 44 and that she had died. The woman had asked if she should call the authorities and an ambulance and was told yes. This was according to court documents. The police did end up going to the home to find out that this story was not true. While attempting to contact Dudley, Nielson

approached the policemen. When they got in touch with Dudley, he had informed them that he and his wife had gotten into an argument about him speaking to the unidentified woman. The wife took Her husbands’ phone and told police that she had sent the text. This was because she thought that Dudley was having an illicit affair on her. She wanted to see how the “other” woman would react to the texts messages. She also wanted to see if she would be an accomplice in covering up the act. This was according to court documents. Nielson was arrested for illegal mischief and falsely reporting an emergency.
