Mother Sells Newborn Baby To Get A Nose Job

A 33-year-old woman in Russia was arrested for selling her baby boy. He was barely five days old. She did this to pay for a $3,600 rhinoplasty surgery( Nose Job). "The suspect met with a local resident and agreed to hand over her newborn son, who was in a state of helplessness, for a reward of 200,000 rubles ($3,200)"  Officials revealed, that In exchange for the child, the new parents reportedly paid $360 up front. The mother issued a "waiver for the rights to the child." The investigators believe that the rest of the payment was made later, around four weeks after the baby was exchanged. Based on an anonymous tip, the couple who allegedly bought the baby and the baby’s mother were taken into custody. The couple initially denied paying the woman for the baby. They said that they did not directly pay the mother in exchange for the baby. They did admit to the investigators
that the child's mother later asked for $3,200 to pay for a nose job. She asked for the money for the surgery to help her "breathe better.” The couple were on board to do just that. "Currently, a series of investigative actions are being carried out. They are “aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the crime committed and consolidating evidence of the suspect’s guilt," the officials said in a public statement. "She is suspected of having committed an offense under paragraph ‘h’ of Part 2 of Art. 127.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (purchase and sale committed in connection with a person who is in a state of defenselessness, known to the guilty person)," the statement explained. Although the mother is in custody, it is still unclear on what charges were filed against the couple who allegedly bought the child.
