Authorities got a call about an altercation at a hotel. A woman is facing charges after she shot her husband in a Hotel Room. 50-year-old Shanteari Weems, began to talk to the authorities through the door. Officers asked her to come out so that they could give medical attention to the man that was injured. She threatened to harm herself, if the authorities entered the room. The conversation continued through the door. The authorities tried to confirm if there was a victim. The wife yelled, "he's a child predator ." The man

was able to inform officers through the door that he was indeed wounded in his leg. When the officers heard that the man had been wounded, the wife was detained. While in custody, Weems told the authorities that she had been married to the man that she wounded for five years. They lived together in the DMV. She said that many children at her day care business recently told her that he had been inappropriately dealing with them. Weems says that she reported her husband to the authorities.
