Embryos Can Now Be Claimed As Dependents On Tax Returns

Residents of Georgia can now claim embryos as dependents on their tax returns. The Georgia Department of Revenue said that it released the tax rules because of the states new ban on abortions. They now see an embryo as a "natural person," and the term is now called personhood status.  The agency said that as of now that it would recognize "any unborn child with a detectable human heartbeat" as eligible

Claiming a dependent on their tax return allows the state of Georgia residents to receive a $3,000 dependent personal exemption for each embryo.
