Ivy Lynn Lee, who is 22,left her six-month-old daughter Rissa in a hot car. She left her baby for five hours in the car while she worked. The mom had 'flagged down' an officer. She told them that her daughter was 'not breathing'. She has another child as well. Officers attempted life-saving measures' on the baby before transporting her to a hospital. She was soon pronounced deceased. Investigators did an interview with the mother, She told two different stories. At first she said that her baby, named Rissa, was not in her care. She later admitted that she had left the child in her car while she was at work.  She knew that the baby was in the car and she chose to go to work for the entire shift. There is no excuse, said authorities. 'She claims she left the car running at first, but then a coworker told her that her car was running outside, and she didn't realize it and went out there and just turned the

car off.' Deputies also revealed that an illegal substance was found in her car. They also believe that she 'intentionally' left the baby in the car.  Lee was charged with second-degree fatal injury and possession of an illegal substance. She has a 1.2 million bond. Authorities have also confirmed that the young mother had previously left her other daughter Avereigh, in a hot car in 2019. She is now 3. Her daughter is now in the custody of a family member. In May, the mother wished herself a happy mother's day, writing on her social media : 'Being a mother is definitely not easy but the love you receive from your kids is unconditional. 'I can't spend today with the amazing little girl that made me a mother but [I know] she feels me every day. 'Ave, my oldest, you'll always have the biggest part of my heart no matter what anybody tell you. 'And Rissa, my youngest, [I know] you would love ya sister if you ever got the chance to meet her.'
