A North Carolina woman is accused of taking a Good Guy’s car with his five children still inside. This happened after the driver pulled over to assist her with her own crash.
Authorities said that Markell Hancox, from Virginia, had been involved in a pile up car crash.
Next a man reportedly “approached the scene and exited his vehicle to check on the people involved,” according to a Social media post from local authorities . “It was at this time one of the drivers of the vehicles involved, Markell Hancox… jumped into the driver seat of his Suburban and stole it
with his 5 children still inside.”
The woman allegedly fled north down the Highway, with five frightened children in the back of the SUV, before getting rid of the SUV, at a nearby convenience store. She was obtained by the authorities a little while later, after she tried to flee the scene on foot. The children were reported by authorities to be “extremely shaken” but unharmed.
The woman was charged with five counts of second-degree kidnapping. Also she was charged with leaving the scene of an accident. She was also charged with larceny. She is currently being held on a $210k bond.
