Eddie Murphy has agreed to pay ex Mel B a total of $35,000 in monthly child support payments.
This is for their 15-year-old daughter. This happened two years after she filed papers requesting for more financial assistance.
The court documents shows that the two have agreed to a new agreement for child support.
The arrangement is for his daughter Angel Iris Murphy Brown.
This happened after Mel, 47, revealed that she had a change in her income.
Eddie Murphy, 61, has already been paying Mel B whose government name is Melanie Brown, $25,000 a month.
The monthly payments cones to a grand total of $300,000 a year. Eddie Murphy has been paying this since the two settled their paternity issues in February 2009.
He did deny paternity in the beginning so there was a hefty battle that took place.
The changes In the agreement says that due to the fact that
Eddie Murphy’s earnings are as high as Mount Everest, he will have to pay an extra $10,000 a month in child’s support.
The payments will have to be made retroactively. So that means that he will have to pay from last October up until Angel turns 18.
To add to the hefty payments, he also agreed to pay for Brown's attorney fees. They totaled $10,000 dollars.
Court Documents stated that Eddie Murphy is an incredibly “High Earner”
Both parties agreed to that.
“The amount of child support set forth hereinbelow has been calculated based on the reasonable needs of the minor child”
The Records also says:
'Commencing October 1, 2021, as and for child support for the benefit of Angel, Respondent shall pay to Petitioner the sum of $35,000 per month.
'Child support shall be payable via wire transfer, and shall be due on the first calendar day of each month.'
