A substitute English teacher at a High School was arrested for having intimate relations with a student. Ayana Davis, who is 20, of Lakeland, was obtained by the sheriff’s special victims unit and charged with two counts of intimate relations battery on a student of the age of 16 years of age or younger by a custodian. One count of offense against students by an authority figure as well as two additional counts of intimate battery stemming from a warrant from Lakeland Authorities Department. Davis admitted to detectives that she

had unprotected relations with a student on four occasions. Twice at the student’s home and twice at her home. The same statement was given by the victim. The investigation began after a student informed a person who was of authority with the Lakeland PD about a video on Social media that allegedly revealed the victim and Davis having relations. The video had been shown to a large number of High school football players, the authorities said. She had her first appearance In court with bond set at $60,000 for five charges.
