Bank Teller Called 911 On Black Man For Having Too Much Money

A Ohio man said bank tellers refused to cash a paycheck from his new job, and then called the cops on him. The teller thought that the amount was suspicious. Paul McCowns attempted to cash his first paycheck from a job with an electric company. The check was for a little more than $1k and McCowns and the bank tellers confirmed that he showed two forms of id and gave a fingerprint, this is required from all non bank members. McCowns said that the bank employees started looking at the computer screen and started questioning the transaction. This led them to not wanting to cash
the check. They also did not attempt to call his employer. McCowns said that they called his job and did not get an answer. So they just jumped to conclusions. He left the bank and was met at his car by police. The police confronted him however they did their due diligence and called his job. His employer answered and confirm that he worked there and the check was valid. He was able to go to another location and cash his check. The bank did issue him an apology and explained that there were several fraudulent transactions and that they were just taking precautions. Watch Video Below
