Woman Goes To Hospital For Shortness Of Breath And Becomes Unresponsive After Long Wait

If you suddenly are not feeling well, you go to the hospital right? Well unfortunately this woman went to the hospital for having shortness of breath and was not seen in time and the unthinkable happens. Tashonna Ward, who was a 25-year-old day care teacher from Milwaukee, became unresponsive after leaving the hospital. She went to the hospital because she complained about having shortness of breath and discomfort. She arrived and was seen just to check in, but was told to wait. They took an electrocardiograph and sent her back to the lobby. The wait was so long that she left. She waited for
over two hours in the emergency room of Froedtert Hospital before leaving to find faster help. She fell and became unresponsive shortly after and now her family are looking for answers as to why she wasn’t seen sooner after she reported severe trouble breathing. “How can you triage someone with shortness of breath and discomfort and direct them in the lobby?” said Ward’s cousin, Andrea Ward. “Froedtert needs to change their policy.” She left to find quicker help and ended up not staying awake long enough to do so. Post life test showed that she had had internal problems with her health.
