Regina King & Ava DuVernay Remember Trayvon Martin Regina King and Ava DuVernay took to social media on Sunday (Feb 26) to remember Trayvon Martin on the fifth anniversary of his death. 2012, Zimmerman murdered Trayvon Martin, a 17-year-old walking back to his father's home from a convenience store, and walked away scot free.
