A Tennessee man who became a subject of national uproar after buying 17,700 bottles of hand sanitizer had been forced to donate to people in need.
Tennessee attorney general’s office began investigating because he significantly raised the prices of the sanitizers.
Matt Colvin, who has been an Amazon seller for quite some time, helped volunteers from a local church load two-thirds of his stockpile of hand sanitizer and antibacterial wipes into a
box truck for the church to distribute to people in need across Tennessee.
The donations stopped a huge profit for Mr. Colvin’s attempt to get rich off of the public’s panic during this testful time.
Mr. Colvin sold 300 bottles of hand sanitizer at a very high mark up on Amazon before the company removed his listings and warned sellers that they would be suspended for price hiking.
