Man Fatally Injures Sister Over Wi-fi Password

LaToya Watkins picked up her son, Kevon Watkins who was 16 from school. He was in a foul mood. At home, he hopped onto his video games to pass by some time. The connection was low. Kevon lived with his mother, and his 13 year old sibling and 20 year old sister Alexus Watkins. Out of frustration, Kevon secretly changed the family’s wifi password so that the connection would improve. His mother noticed the change and unplugged the router. This caused Kevon to become infuriated. He went to her room as if he was going to strike her. An intense argument grew. Kevon’s behavior was getting very aggressive. His sister Alexis attempted to help out her mother. Alexus and Kevon did not get along. LaToya said that they always got into it like “typical brother and sister fighting.” However, this time it was very different. LaToya placed her emergency call in the middle of all of the yelling. She said that her 16 year old son and 20 year old daughter were intensely fighting. They were rolling around on the floor. She said she could not separate them. Just three minutes later, Latoya’s 13 year old made a secret emergency call in another part of the house. They told the dispatcher that their brother tried to hit their mother and now had his sister in a very tight headlock on the floor. When
the operator asked if Kevon was on medication, the 13 year old answered “no he’s just crazy.” Around 10 minutes later, authorities finally arrived on scene. Kevon continued to squeeze on his sister’s neck. He was holding her in a headlock. He kept doing this even when the Officer approached him. He had his sister in that death lock for about 15 minutes Alexus’ body had been gone limp. Kevon had snapper and was too blinded by rage to notice. The human brain can only be with out oxygen for a few seconds without damage. 10 minutes of not getting oxygen is definitely considered to be brain dead. Alexus was rushed to the Hospital, but deemed deceased on arrival. Her cause of death was asphyxiation. "I didn’t realize he was choking her that hard," Latoya Watkins said. Kevon cried as he was served with a warrant for felony fatal injury. He was informed that his sister died. Kevon’s lawyer asked the judge for an acquittal. Instead he suggested that he get involuntary man slaughter. “There is no way that I could justifiably acquit him as having done nothing wrong,” the judge said during her decision. “I don’t see this as an accident.” He was sentenced to life in prison for felony fatal injury . "I never intended to kill her at all," he said through tears. "She taught me most everything I know." Watch Video Below
