So we all know that Mr. Will Smith can do anything. The have no fear Guru has said many times that fear is for losers. The rapper turned actor now motivational genius is set out to play yet another great man. He has played Ali and also played Christopher Gardner in the ‘ Pursuit To Happyness’. Well now there is talk of Will Smith doing a biopic of Mr. Richard Williams, the father of the famous Tennis Playing sisters Venus and Serena Williams. So social media is shading this situation because they think that Will Smith is not dark enough to play Richard Williams. Really?! Are we still having this discussion in this day and age? Who else has the name and Credentials that Will Smith has? Will Smith did not look like Christopher Gardner and did a wonderful job In the movie ‘The pursuit of Happyness” Christopher Gardner is a dark

skinned man. In the movie ‘concussion’ he played an African doctor. It’s not about the look it’s about the heart that will be placed behind this role. We all know that Will Smith is serious and he only chooses roles that he stands behind. I’m sure that Richard Williams has a great story. The struggle that he had to endure to get his daughters respected in a sport that has a majority of Caucasians Is nothing short of remarkable. Other actors have played people that they did not share the same complection. Mr. Chadwick Boseman played Thurgood Marshall and we know that Mr. Marshall was fair skinned. That role was played with grace and heart and not once did you think about the complection difference. Well Will Smith can pretty much play anyone and I would support him.
