A registered nurse that was formerly employed at a Long Island hospital has been arrested. This happed after she allegedly lifted a two-day-old newborn from his bassinet and slamming him face-down back into it. Amanda Burke, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, which is a misdemeanor. An investigation has been done and it was revealed that the New York nurse was working in the hospital's neonatal intensive care unit. She was assigned to care for

the two-day old. According to documents, She approached the baby, lifted him and quickly flipped him over before she "violently slammed him" back into the bassinet, face-down. All of this was caught on video. The whole incident was filmed by the infant's father. He was outside of the nursery. The parents expeditiously notified the nursing staff. The nurse was directed to leave the hospital. She was terminated hours later. As of now, the Culprit’s license is still active. Watch Video Below
