A Louisiana man is facing fatal injury charges after authorities said that he confessed to taking the life of his mother. Authorities were investigating a hit-and-run car crash. They spoke to Joshua Chambers. While talking to Chambers, they also was looking to speak with his mother. His mother Cora was the registered Owner of the vehicle that was involved. Authorities said that when they asked to speak with Cora, Joshua Chambers told them something that was not expected.

He said that he had fatally injured her. Authorities took Chambers into custody. This was after seeing his mother deceased on the floor of the kitchen. It was clear that she had been hit several times with a hammer. It was revealed that Joshua Chambers has had a history of mental illness. He was recently taken into protective custody for mental evaluations. He also admitted that he was the driver In that hit and run accident.
