Oklahoma Pregnant Mother Of 2 Kids Found Dead Inside A Truck Along The Highway.

A pregnant woman texted her mother begging for help last month, moments before investigators said she was choked to death in Cleveland County, court records show. Authorities recovered the body of Shaliyah Toombs, 23, who was seven months pregnant at the time of her death. Investigators were alerted to the body, found in a pickup along Interstate 35 near Goldsby, after Daniel Vasquez went to a convenience store and told a Lighthorse police officer that the pickup had run out of gas and there was a body in the back. Toombs had been reported missing on April 29. About 1 a.m. Vasquez went to Toombs' home in Oklahoma City. Later, two people later identified as Joshua Finkbeiner, 30, and Staci Harjo, 42, arrived, searching for a backpack they said Toombs had

stolen, according to a court affidavit. Vasquez said he learned that Toombs had borrowed Harjo's vehicle, which had the backpack that contained a hard drive belonging to Finkbeiner's employer. Vasquez told investigators that Finkbeiner and Harjo forced him and Toombs into a pickup at gunpoint and drove to a farm. About 4:50 a.m., Toombs' mother reported getting a text message from her daughter, which said, "They gonna kill me mom help me." Vasquez didn't know the exact location of the farm, but said it was somewhere in Cleveland County. They stayed at the farm only briefly, and then began driving around. While they were driving, Finkbeiner began choking Toombs, and continued to do so for "about 20 minutes." Shortly after, Harjo told Vasquez to "finish her off," Vasquez told investigators.
