Jason Momoa: Canvas Of My Life. Shares Rare And Intimate Glances Of Family Life With Lisa Bonet

Jason Momoa Gives Inside Look at His Family Life in Touching Short Film 'Canvas of My Life' Jason Momoa has carved out an enviable career in Hollywood since first breaking onto the scene in 1999 on Baywatch, but there's one dream he accomplished that means far more than any TV role, and that's being a father. The Game of Thrones actor, 37, details his life journey in a short film posted to YouTube on Friday, titled Canvas of My Life. In it, Momoa reveals that he wanted to be a father ever since he was a young boy in small town Iowa, where he lived after being born in Honolulu, Hawaii. Momoa shares that while his grandfather and his uncles were the "hunters and builders of the Midwest," both of his parents were artists. "I was raised by a strong single mother," he says. "My mom's an artist in every way. She's a painter, a photographer. She's a wanderer -- always searching, always seeing. I guess you could say my mom gave me her eyes." Momoa explains that his mother passed down her passion for art, which is something that he longed to do for his
children one day. "And then it happened," he says. "She came -- my muse, the love of my life, my partner in crime. I fell stupid, crazy, madly in love with her. My wife gave me three beautiful, feral kids." After marrying in 2007, Momoa and Lisa Bonet, 49, had two children together -- Lola, 9, and Nakoa-Wolf, 8. Additionally, Bonet has a 28-year-old daughter, Zoe Kravitz, from her previous marriage to Lenny Kravitz. They'll sculpt. They'll understand light and darkness and composition. Find their soul. That's where the music lies. I teach them to play, because if they can play, they can sing, and if they can sing then they can dance. And when you dance, you celebrate. It is all connected. These lessons will teach them expression of self." "And if I build it, then I can teach them hard work, dedication, integrity, a moral code," he continues. "Now every time my children play, they can feel that their papa's always with them."
