A 2 year old girl, weighing less than 10 pounds passed away of long-term starvation. The parents were arrested and charged with child abuse.
Regis Johnson, who is 57, and Arhonda Tillman, who is 35, were both arrested. They are being held without bail.
When authorities responded to a call about an unresponsive child, they found the girl deceased in an inflatable pool. It was being used as a playpen.
An autopsy determined that the 9.5-pound little girl had an empty stomach and died from long-term starvation.

office had tried to reach the parents. They tried numerous times to reach out since her last visit in January 2020.
The father of the child told detectives that the child had not wanted to eat much. He claimed that the child hadn’t eaten in the two days before her death. The mother said that she tried to feed her a turkey sandwich a few days prior, but the child did not eat.
The father shared with the detectives that the little girl could crawl, but not walk. He also said that he knew that she was “not gaining weight and not developing as normal.”
