A South Carolina father was sentenced to death for fatally injuring his five children with his own hands. After they were deceased, he drove around with their lifeless bodies for nine days before dumping them in garbage bags on the side of an Alabama dirt road. Timothy Jones Jr. showed no emotion or remorse when the jury delivered their verdict after less than two hours of deliberation. They decided against life without parole. The lawyer for Jones wanted the jury to show mercy for the family. He said since they have already suffered loss, they should spare the fathers life. Jones, 37, is known to have been selfish all of his life. He tried to break up his father’s second marriage, because he felt like he was not getting enough attention. He also was very

controlling over his own wife. When the verdict was read, His father was devastated. He just put his head in his hands I. Disbelief. When his wife decided to leave him, he just couldn’t stand it. He also made it tough for his wife to date. Jones decided to single handedly strangle his own children. He did this one by one. The children fought, because he had to chase one of his children down. After he did this, he placed their bodies in s bag and traveled with them. He decided on the ninth day to dispose of their bodies. He was caught soon after because of a check point on the road.
