Shontover Kirkland who is located in Augusta, Georgia, did something that can’t be un done. She is going to spend some time in prison. This is because of a “prank” that ended up to not being funny. It caused two fathers to lose their lives in a lake. The 32-year-old admitted to wrong doing and surrendered herself to authorities, back in September 2021. She was charged in the demise’s of Eynn Wilson and Edward Kirk Jr. This unfortunate event happened at a boat party and it was all captured on video. She has been held at a county jail, ever since the incident happened. According to records, Shantover was rough housing with Edward Kirk Jr. and ended up “shoving him off a boat into deep, cold water” She didn’t even care about whether he could swim or not. She is also being held accountable for Wilson’s demise. He

saw that his friend was having a rough time managing the water, Wilson jumped into the lake to try and get Kirk out, who was “struggling to stay above water,” reports said. They both went under and was not able to be recovered until days later. Authorities found Kirkland’s irrefutable actions as“consciously disregarding a substantial and unjustifiable risk of endangering the safety” of Kirk, the warrant says. She has been sentenced to manslaughter and will serve one year in prison. She also received 9 year’s probation. Video footage from the boat party shows how it all went down. There were two boats that were tethered together on the water. The video showed the woman pushing Edward, whose nickname was “E.J.” Kirk into the water.
