Keke Wyatt’s Youngest Son Battles Health Issues In The Hospital

Keke Wyatt, the R&B singer and mother of 11 children, has been going through a difficult time as her youngest son, Ke’Zyah Jean Darring, is facing some serious health challenges. The baby boy, who was born in January 2023, has been diagnosed with Trisomy 13 or Patau Syndrome, a rare genetic disorder that causes severe intellectual disabilities and physical defects. Wyatt has been sharing updates on her son’s condition on her social media where she posted a video of herself riding in an ambulance with Ke’Zyah. She wrote in the caption: “In the EMS BACK TO THE PICU… plz pray for my baby boy.” PICU stands for pediatric intensive care unit, where critically ill children are taken for specialized care. This is not the first time that Ke’Zyah has been hospitalized. In September 2023, Wyatt revealed that her son had to go back to the hospital when he was only 13 weeks old. She posted a photo of him with tubes and wires attached to his body and wrote: “In the ICU again but still making it. 13 weeks old and doing GREAT!!! GODISGOOD.” Wyatt also opened up about her decision to keep her son despite receiving a positive Trisomy 13 test result during her pregnancy. She said that she and her

husband, Zackariah Darring, chose not to follow the medical specialist’s suggestion to terminate the pregnancy early. She said: “We appreciate and thank God for all of the Dr’s in the medical field. However, I can’t stress enough to all mothers & couples, when the Dr gives you life changing information about your unborn child …. pray about it, use faith & follow your spirit before making ANY final decision.” Wyatt added: “We believed the report of the Lord and after holding our beautiful healthy baby boy Ke’Zyah & looking into his eyes, I’m glad we did. We are both believers and know that God has & will continue to have the final say.” Wyatt has received a lot of support and prayers from her fans and followers, who admire her strength and faith. She also shared some humorous moments with her son, such as when he only wanted to be held by her after returning home from the hospital. She wrote: “He’s so spoiled rotten… He won’t let me put him down… He’s been like this since we got home from the hospital a week n a half ago.” We hope that Ke’Zyah will recover soon and that Wyatt and her family will find comfort and peace during this challenging time.
