Jalia Marrero, an 18 year old young lady has been found in a ditch after witnessing her dad being fatally injured. She was first reported missing May 21. She was believed to have been last seen by family members around May 9th or 10th. According to a statement on the Buffalo Authorities Department's Social Media page , 18-year-old Jalia Marrero's remains were discovered by homicide detectives in a wooded area in Buffalo, N.Y. The identity of Jalia, who was a high school student was found weeks away from graduation. Her identity was confirmed by the medical examiner. A cause of her demise has not yet been determined. The victim's family said

that the authorities informed them that Jalia had been deceased for quite some time. Her body was found buried in a shallow grave in the woods. According to reports, she witnessed the fatal injury of her father. He was 39-year-old Luis Marrero. He was fatally shot in an apartment. The family said that Jalia spoke to authorities regarding her father's death and provided them with a statement. Days after the incident, the family lost contact with Jalia, they said. Family members claim that they know who fatally injured both Luis and Jalia. No arrests have been made in the fatal injuries. A motive has not yet been discussed. There is an ongoing investigation.
