Woman Fatally Injured By Baby Father After He Mistook Her For An Intruder

Chrisheena’s Lee was 23 years old and a mother to a 2 year old that she shared with her boyfriend. A man who allegedly told authorities that he mistook his girlfriend for a burglar, has been charged with manslaughter. Bobby Wolfe is being held on $500,000 bail in the fatal injury of 23-year-old Chrisheena Lee. Prosecutors asked for a much lower bond of $75,000, but the judge decided to make it more higher to make it more difficult to bail out. Wolfe's public defender revealed that he does not have any prior felonies or violence documented. She also said that he is unemployed but has two children who that depends on him. Chrisheena Lee's family said that Wolfe, who is a former football player at the University of Arizona, had a 2 year-old wig Lee. The child was with another relative at the time of this unfortunate event. "I'm hurting because my baby's in the morgue. My oldest granddaughter," Annie Lee, Chrisheena Lee's grandmother, said. "He didn't have to shoot her six times." She said this to reporters, while holding her great grandchild. "We're going to have to tell her that her mom was a beautiful Black woman. She loved her," Annie Lee said. "I want to give a message to all the women, men, boys, and girls. Domestic violence is no game. I hear about it on TV all the time, and it hit my home." Since Chrisheena Lee's demise, her family has disputed Wolfe's account of the mistaken of her identity. It is documented that Wolfe fired at least seven shots. Six actually hit the deceased. “I want the charges upgraded, the fatal injury, life sentence, yes I do," Annie Lee said passionately. The incident happened at the apartment that they both shared. his weapon. Investigators said that there was damage to the apartment door. It was not clear if the damage was old or new. "We're going to collect shell casings. We're going to look at the trajectory of the bullets and compare that to his statement and try to see if everything matches up. If it truly is accidental, obviously this is a very sad situation," Sgt. Raul Granados said on Monday. "If he did believe there was a break-in and, in fact, there wasn't, he ended up shooting his loved one. It's a very difficult situation for him. If there was an intruder, obviously, we want to find maybe doorbell cameras, maybe cameras at the apartment complex, to see if we are going to have to look for a suspect out there, or what happened at the door that startled him enough to get his weapon out and start shooting." Authorities said that Wolfe stayed at the scene and was cooperating with investigators. Chrisheena Lee's family, however, aren’t buying the story. "Unbelievable," her mother said ,she was too distraught to speak. Her cousin’s were ready to speak out. “She's been getting away from him. She's been telling the family he's stalking her," Chrisheena Lee's cousin, Tasha McCoy, said. "He just wouldn't leave her alone." Family members invited reporters inside of the apartment. They showed the six bullet holes in the wall near the bathroom. Relatives that they feel that Wolfe made up the story about the intruder as a coverup. "He should be in jail," another cousin, Travis McCoy, said. "You didn't have to go to this extent, and then you lie about it, and cover it up. It just doesn't make sense." One thing that is definitely clear as crystal, is the fact that Wolfe fired the shots. Authorities recovered a weapon on the scene. Watch Video Below
