A teenage mother is in the hospital after she was shot while trying to rob someone. According to the police, it happened at an apartment complex. Authorities said that Sijeria Parks, 19, invited a man over and attempted to rob him. This was attempted along with the help of three other men. Officials said that shortly after the ordeal, the man that they were trying to rob, shot at the men. He ran away and called police. A neighbor said that she and her husband were awakened

abruptly by someone knocking at the door. When her husband answered, she said that the girl was standing there Wounded. While attempting to call emergency, the neighbor said that Parks collapsed on the steps. “I mean, the whole building is shaken up. You see the parking lot is empty. Nobody wants to be here right now,” the neighbor said. Officers think that Parks was hit in the head by a projectile while trying to avoid being hit.  She is currently listed in critical condition.
