Vanessa Bryant Donates $16m Won In Kobe’s Crash Site Photos To Foundation

Vanessa Bryant told a news outlet that she was donating the money won in the lawsuit, to the Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation “to shine a light on Kobe and Gigi’s legacy.” The Black Mamba charity offers funding and sports programs for young athletes, that are undeserved, according to their websites. The 41-year-old NBA legend and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna lost their lives in a helicopter crash. After first responders took pictures of the unfortunate event, Vanessa Bryant sued them. Along with Kobe and Gianna, there were others who lost their lives as well. Plaintiff Chris Chester, who lost his wife, Sarah, and daughter Payton in the Calabasas, California, crash, was also
granted $15 million by the jury. “From the beginning, Vanessa Bryant has sought only accountability, but our legal system does not allow her to force better policies, more training, or officer discipline,”Her lawyer said. Li claimed that Bryant and Chester “brought to light the decades-old practice of taking and sharing photos of accident and crime victims for no legitimate purpose.” “It is Mrs. Bryant’s who hopes that this important civil rights case will put to a stop this abhorrent and callous behavior,” he also added. The photos have not been made public, but Bryant, 40, claimed in court that she “fears every day of being on social media and these popping up.” Watch Video Below
