A Savannah man has died after he was shot by a toddler, according to Savanah authorities. Authorities said that 25-year-old Dustin Walters was fatally wounded by a toddler under the age of 2 who found and fired it. Authorities responded to the call and found Walters wounded. He was taken to a Medical Center where he passed away from his injuries. We grieve along with the Walters family,” Authorities chief Minter said.

“As a parent, I cannot imagine what this family is going through or will continue to go through in the coming years. What we want to make sure now is that parents are aware that although rare, these incidents can happen with tragic results. Please take this seriously and take the steps to ensure that you and your family members are safe.” The incident has been ruled accidental.
