Well Known Wig Company Is Accused Of Scamming Customers

A well known wig company has been accused of poor business practices. Customers have stepped forward to accuse the company of fraud and false advertising. The Rhonda White Collection is a hair company that offers very stylish wigs that cost any where between $300 to $850. After purchasing the wigs customers are clamoring that the wigs aren’t as high quality as they seem. Brittney Segar, who Purchased Rhonda’s wig “Sasha” unit for $690 and paid her through Cash App. The customer said that she felt like she was taken greatly taken advantage of by the company, because the wig she received was not as high quality as she thought. Due to the fact that she has such a strong following and you don’t see any negative comments on her page, I thought it was okay for me to order the wigs,” The customer told The Shade Room. The wig was due to arrive within two weeks. Well many weeks passé and she didn’t receive her order. So the customer did what any one would do. She started reaching out to the company. She said that she never got a response through text or email. Her calls were ignored as well. The customer found another phone number for the company and she called them. The customer and the owner of the company had gotten into an argument. The customer said that she received her wig a few days later. The wig looked nothing like the wig unit in the advertisement. The customer wanted a refund but her request wasn’t granted because it’s stated clearly on her website that refunds are not given. She also tried to reach out to Cash App and dispute the payment, but she wasn’t able to get one. Another customer that goes by the name Hannah Neely had a similar experience. She said Rhonda disappeared after she paid for her unit through Cash App. She as well didn’t get any correspondence about her order. She asked a family member to pick up her wig. to pick up the wig, they were told that the wig was not there yet. It was explained to them that the shipments were still in China. This was not fully explained to the customers. That’s still no excuse for the scamming,” The customer said. “Why not just say I am ordering wigs from another the country. You don’t even have to specify. I’m ordering wigs from out of the country but I will pluck the baby hairs for you and I will do the part for you Now would you like to pay $400, $500? But she will never say because she knows no one will buy it.” The customer added, “We paid for express shipping but see, we couldn’t get in contact with her. Even if there were delays or if something was happening we couldn’t get in contact. So that’s what initially made it seem like a scam” Rhonda explained that she doesn’t do refunds because she customizes the wigs. “I just feel like it’s too much especially with them coming customized,” she said. “Being that some of them fit other people’s head sizes we can’t always guarantee that that product will sell the way it was supposed to be sold…We can’t satisfy everybody’s needs.” When asked about phone calls not being answered, The owner said that if people are calling her business line outside of business hours, they will not be able to reach her. This business isn’t in good standings with Better Business Bureau. It has an F rating with the Better Business Bureau’s website and it is not being accredited with them. The President of the BBB, Tom Stephens said that the Rhonda WhiteCollection has 18 complaints filed against them. Out of the 18 complaints, Stephens said that the company only answered four of them. Rhonda says that she will not be answering the rest.
