Mother Charged With Her 5 Children’s Demise In Fire

A mother in Illinois has been charged in the demise of her five children after she allegedly left them unattended at home. They all perished in the fire. Sabrina Dunigan, who is 34, left her apartment to pick up her boyfriend from work. The fire broke out soon after. She has been charged with five felony counts of endangering the life of a child resulting in fatal injury. The cause of the fire has not yet to be determined. When the mother returned home, she saw that her home was over taken with flames. She attempted to enter the home to save them but was unsuccessful. The crews found two children in the kitchen already deceased and 3 in a bedroom unconscious. Two of them passed away
while being rushed outside by fire crews and the other child Neveah passed away on the way to the hospital of smoke inhalation. The apartment was divided into two parts. The front of the home was lived in by Sabrina and her children. The back of the home was lived in by her father Greg and his wife Vanicia Moseley. They were both blind and they jumped out of the window when Greg smelled smoke. The couple were reportedly supposed to be watching the children but had fallen asleep.  It was reported that they did not attempt to save the children because the fire was too strong. The fire did affect other people who lived in the Complex. Everyone else was able to escape.
