A married Missouri Principal got his friend to fatally injure the woman that he had an “ongoing romantic relationship with.” When he found out that she got pregnant with their baby, he decided to end her and the baby’s life. Now the former principal Cornelius M. Green and friend Phillip J. Cutler have been indicted. They got indicted by a federal grand jury in the 2016 fatal injury-for-hire plot that led to the death of Jocelyn Peters and her unborn child. She was 7 months pregnant. These new federal charges of “conspiracy to commit fatal injury for hire” and come after Green and Cutler were charged in state court in 2016. Authorities says that Green stole $2,500 from the school that he worked, he also addressed it from the school. He sent it to Cutler, who is a “longstanding” friend, in March 2016. Cutler accepted the cash “in exchange for his plan to Fatally injure oPeters and her unborn child,” officials said. According to court records,

Cutler decided to travel from Oklahoma to St. Louis and stayed at the home where Green and his sister resided. Green and Cutler then took Green’s car to a train station. Authorities says that Green took a train to Chicago “to establish an alibi.” Before Green left for Chicago, Cutler had given the keys to Peters’ apartment. Cutler entered Peters’ apartment , and went into her bedroom. He shot her in the head while sleeping, records say, “using a potato as a silencer to muffle the sound of the shot.” Peters and her unborn baby were both fatally injured on the spot. At about 6:40 a.m. on March 24, authorities says that Green used a credit card to buy a train ticket for his return to St. Louis This would be for his alibi. “Sk there would be verification that he was in Chicago at the time of the fatal injury.” Federal prosecutors seeking to get the death penalty for both involved.
