A man from Michigan, Marcus Durayalle Lofton, has been taken into custody for a tragic incident involving his wife, Alicia Danielle Lofton. This unfortunate event occurred shortly after Alicia served him with divorce papers. She filed for divorce because it was brought to her attention that her husband was living a double life. Apparently, Marcus’ Friend had recorded them together and posted it on social media. The victim’s friends alerted her of the video. The couple got married in February 2023, but unfortunately, their relationship took a turn for the worse. Alicia discovered that Marcus was involved with someone else and immediately wanted to end the marriage. Legal documents reveal that Alicia had obtained a protective order against Marcus in May due to previous incidents of Bad Treatment. The authorities received a distress call reporting popping sounds in the area. Upon arrival, they discovered Alicia fatally wounded. Through their investigation, the authorities quickly

identified Marcus Durayalle Lofton as the primary suspect in this devastating incident. He was subsequently charged with first-degree fatal injury and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. Marcus is currently being held in jail without bail. During questioning, Marcus admitted that Alicia had served him with divorce papers and informed him of her intention to sell their house. He said that morning, he encountered Alicia at the residence, leading to a heated argument. In the midst of the altercation, Marcus grabbed Alicia's protection piece , from a drawer and unintentionally discharged it while attempting to strike her. According to Marcus's statement, Alicia sought refuge in a bedroom and locked the door. Marcus forcibly entered the room and discovered Alicia attempting to escape through a window. He admitted to authorities, that he injured Alicia multiple times before fleeing the scene in his maroon SUV.
